William Porter, plaintiff against Nancy Porter, defendant
In the District Court of Warren County, Iowa, August Term, A.D. 1874
To said Defendant:
You are hereby notified that on or before the 10th day of June A.D. 1874, there will be on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Warren County, Iowa, the petition of the Plaintiff aforesaid, claiming of you a divorce from the bonds of matrimony, on account of your having willfully deserted and absented yourself from him without a reasonable cause, for the space of two years and for the further reason that you have been guilty of such inhuman treatment toward him as to endanger his life. You are hereby notified that unless you appear thereto and defend, before noon of the second day of the term of said District Court, of Warren County, Iowa commencing on the 10th day of August, A.D. 1874, a default will be entered against you, and judgment rendered thereon.
