Minnie Fountain, daughter of Uriah and Margaret Williams, was born near Cool in Warren County, Iowa, June 6 1874. At the age of six years her father died. A year or two later her mother with the family moved to Indianola and she was educated in the public school there. In 1893 with her mother, she moved to Des Moines to make their home and resided there the greater part of her life.
