YOUNG, STEPHEN, farmer, Squaw Township, Sec. 19; P. O. New Virginia; owns 75 acres of land; was born January 22, 1825, in Indiana; married June 14, 1844, to Zena, daughter of Moses Kerr, of Putnam county, Indiana; has had eight children: Hiram, James, William H., Moses K., John B., Malissa, Joseph P. and Stephen E.; of these Hiram and Stephen E. are dead; wife died April 1, 1864; married again February 6, 1865; no children by this union; has been elected town trustee two terms.
