History of Warren County, Iowa; Containing a History of the County, Its Cities, Towns & Etc., by Union Historical Company, 1879, p.713

TRESHAM, JAMES, farmer, Palmyra Township, Sec. 26; P. O. Palmyra; was born in Greenbriar County, Virginia, March 9, 1829, and was raised there; when twenty years of age, he left his home, and removed to Highland county, Ohio, he remained there five years, and was married to Miss Mary J. Wright, March 24, 1853, a native of that county, the following year they emigrated to Warren county; he has lived on his present homestead for ten years, it contains 150 acres; they have one son and four daughters: Eunice, Emma, Issadora, John D. and Ida M., have lost two sons: Edward H. and Robert A.
