SILCOTT, WILLIAM G., Indianola, dealer in hardware, stoves, agricultural implements and manufacturer of tinware; was born in Park county, Ind., in 1837, and was raised there until sixteen years of age; and came to this county in 1853; he enlisted in the late war in the 34th Iowa Infantry; he married Miss Sarah E. Moon, in 1859; she was born in Martinsburg, Virginia; they have five children: Emma J., Hattie L., Ella, Lillie M. and Ada.
