RUSS, JOHN, farmer, Linn Township, Sec. 21; P. O. Norwalk; born in Germany, in the year 1844, and came to America in the year 1873, and to this county the same year; he was married in Germany, to Miss Weibke Selk, a native of that country, in the year 1871; they have a family of five children; Margaret, born in Germany, Mary, Henry, Louis and Willie; he was a soldier in the Franco- Prussian war, and was at the siege of Strasburg.
