NOBLE, WILLIAM A., Indianola, lumber dealer; was born in Johnson county, Indiana, in 1836, and removed to this county with his parents in 1853; he was raised a farmer, and owns 310 acres of land; he served during the war in the commissary department as A. C. S., with the rank of Captain; on his return from the war he engaged in merchandizing; he married Miss Eliza C. Spry, in 1856; she was born in Champaign county, Ohio; they have three children: Homer L., Lenora A., and Bennie L.; lost one daughter: Lizzie G.
