MORRISON, MICHAEL, [listed incorrectly as Morrison Michael in history book] farmer, Squaw Township, Sec 2, P. O. Sharon; born on the 16th of February, 1812, in York county, Pa.; moved with his parents in 1831 to Noble County, Ohio; married, March 18, 1834, to Jane B., daughter of Jas. Kyle, of Noble county, and moved from there to this county on to his present farm of 350 acres, September, 1856, having entered the land of the government; was educated in the old log school-houses of Pennsylvania; have no children; wife died Oct. 17, 1878; was one of the first settlers of the township; has been justice of the peace and town trustee several times, and now is postmaster, with the office in his house.
