LACY, JOSEPH T., Indianola, capitalist; was born in Durham, Canada, in 1826, of English ancestry; he was educated at Hanover and Lebanon Liberal Institute, in New Hampshire; in 1847 he came to Ohio, and was for several years engaged in teaching; he read law, and was admitted to the bar in 1851; he came to this county in 1854, and settled in Whitebreast township; he owns over 2,000 acres of land; is one of the largest tax-payers of Warren county; he is a man of cultivation, taking great interest in educational matters, and is one of the leaders in what is calculated to promote the best interests of society; he married Miss Emily McDonald, in 1852; she was born in Champaign county, Ohio; they have two children: Addis F. and Susetta M.
