KNIGHT, JOHN W. (listed as J.F. Knight in book), farmer, Linn Township, Sec. 8; P. O. Des Moines; born in the State of West Virginia, in the year 1835, and was raised there and made it his home till he came to Illinois, in 1865, where he lived for about two years, and came to this county in the spring of 1867; he was married in Illinois to Miss M. A. Callison, a native of West Virginia, Dec. 25, 1866; they have a family of six children living: Eddie, George N., Harvey and Jennie E.; is justice of the peace, and owns an improved farm of eighty acres.
