JONES, JOHN W., one of the editors of the Indianola Herald, was born in Ohio in 1850, and was raised there until fourteen years of age, and then removed to Iowa and settled in Oskaloosa; he learned the printer's trade and became one of the editors of the Perry Chief, published at Perry, Dallas county; he disposed of his interest in this paper and edited the Greenfield Transcript; he came to Warren county in April, 1877, and was connected with the Republican, and in the summer of 1879 became one of the editors of the Indianola Herald; he married Miss Anna E. Irwin in 1870; she was born and raised in Oskaloosa; they have two children, Clarence C., and Laura A.
