DAVIS, MARSHALL, farmer, Greenfield Township,Sec. 13; P. O. Summerset; born in Kentucky, February 11, 1811; when quite young his parents emigrated to Indiana; there he lived till he came to this county in 1852, and bought a claim from a man by the name of James Woody, and afterward entered it, and is still living upon the same land; he was married in 1843 to Miss Jane Rhodes, a native of Indiana; they have a family of six children living; John, Elenora, Ephraim, George, Leander, William, and three deceased: his son John was in the late rebellion; owns a farm of 160 acres.
