BUTLER, WILLIAM H., Indianola, retired farmer; was born in Virginia in 1815, and came to Indianola, with his parents, in 1821; he was engaged in stock trading, in Wisconsin, for about fifteen years; he came to this county in 1864, and bought the land that he now owns, which consists of 335 acres, and also owns a nice residence in town, which he occupies; he was married in Indianola, in 1858, to Miss S. E. Truitt; they have a family of two sons: William F. and Edward P. He was through the Northern part of the state as early as 1845, but did not locate; since he came to the county his occupation has been that of a farmer.
