VINTON CLARK WATSON
Vinton C. Watson, life insurance salesman for Bankers Life, lives at 1102 North C street, Indianola. He was born in Indianola April 5, 1905, the son of Joseph O. and Fannie C. Watson. His father, Joseph O. Watson Sr., was an attorney at Indianola from 1897 to 1936. Mr. Watson received his bachelor of arts degree from Simpson College and continued his studies at the Harvard Business school, where he received the degree of master in business administration.
Dec. 16, 1938, he married Margaret Louise Liebe, daughter of Adolph and Bertha (Berger) Liebe. Mrs. Watson was born at Cleveland, Ohio, March 25, 1912. Mr. and Mrs. Watson have three children: Vinton Philip, born June 19, 1941; James Liebe, born May 20, 1944; Margaret Jo, born Nov. 15, 1946.
Mr. Watson is a member of the city council of Indianola, a trustee of Simpson college, and a director of the Peoples Trust and Savings bank of Indianola. Fraternally he is affiliated with the Masonic order and Kappa Theta Psi fraternity. The Watsons are members of the Baptist Church. Their political ties are with the Republican Party.
