BALES, JEFFERSON, farmer, Sec. 14, White Oak Township; P. O. Indianola; born in Tippecanoe county, Indiana; when four years old, his parents came to Jefferson county, this State, where he was raised on a farm; was married in Knox county, April 29, 1864, to Miss Louisa Bales, a native of Ohio; have a family of six children: Jennie, Mary, Charles, John, Emma and Adda; owns 100 acres of land under a good state of cultivation.
