Representative in the congress of the United States from the Seventh congressional district of Iowa, composed of the counties of Polk, Dallas, Madison, Marion, Story and Warren, was born in Warren county, Iowa. American parentage. Republican in politics. Was a member of the sixty-fourth and sixty-fifth congresses. Re-elected to the sixty-sixth and sixty-seventh congresses.
