Some of this may help.
Wapello County marriage records indicate that David F. Hunt and Nancy J. Brown were married on 4 Jul 1859.
A search of the the 1860 census would seem to show that David and Nancy are living in Avery Township, Hancock County, Iowa. Hancock County is in the very north central part of the state. The enrtry is as follows:
David F. Hunt, aged 30 born in Indiana
Nancy Hunt, aged 25, born in Indiana
Ellen Hunt, aged 13, born in IllinoisThere is no indication of the relationship between David and Ellen. It is possible that she is a child from a previous marriage, a niece or a sister. Based on the age, I am inclined to go with one of the latter two. A check of some Internet sources indicate that David is buried in Belmond Cemetery, Wright County, Iowa (Wright County is next to Hancock to the east). There is nothing I can find that would indicate that he is buried in Wapello County.
There is a very good chance that Nancy Brown is the daughter of Nathan F. Brown. The 1850 Wapello County Federal census shows
Nathan F. Brown, aged 41, born Ohio
Anna Brown, aged 40, born New York
Alfred Brown, aged 21, born Indiana
Jesshenia(?) Brown, aged 18, born Indiana
Nancy Brown, aged 16, born Indiana
George W. Brown, aged 13, born Indiana
Anamda Kirkham, aged 6, born IndianaA check of Indiana marriage records shows that a Nathan Brown married Anna Proud on 31 July 1836 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Because of the age of Alfred, it is unclear whether this is the same Nathan and Anna.
By 1860 Nathan and Anna are living by themselves in Highland Township, Wapello county.
