According to her death certificate and her obituary, Lucy Ann Watkins was born Lucy Ann Wittenmyer on November 9, 1854 in Kirkville, Wapello County, Iowa; She died on October 15, 1939 and is buried in the Ottumwa Cemetery. Her oarents were Jonathan Wittenmyer and Margaret (Pinegar) Wittenmyer. Her husband, Thomas S. Watkins, died May 30, 1928. She was survived by nieces and grand nieces and grand nephews.
