My grandpa Robert "PEG" Bennett was born in this town (1896)and buried at Shaul cemetery in Ottumwa. Somehow he lost his leg below the knee when he was young according to WW I which states he had a wooden leg below the left knee. Wonder if he lost it in a mine accident??? Thanks~~~~~~~~
