Lentner is actually a name quite well known in the Ottumwa area. For many years Rex Lentner, who is most likely related to your George in some way, owned the Harley-Davidson dealership in Ottumwa - called Lentner Cycle Company.
He was much beloved by the motorcycle owners that he did business with. After his death (probably 10 to 15 years ago), it became a tradition that each Father's Day weekend the cyclists would come to Ottumwa to honor him. Originally, there would be several hundred cyclists. Over the course of years, the number has decreased somewhat, but there are still a rather large group that will appear in Ottumwa the Saturday before Father's Day.
The Lentner Cycle Co. still exists as a Harley-Davidson dealer, however, I don't think the Lentner family owns it any more. There are only a couple of Lentner names in the current Ottumwa phone directory, One is, I believe, the widow of Rex Lentner.
BTW there was a very nice article in the "Ottumwa Courier" on the occasion of George M. Lentner's 100th birthday. If you have not seen it, the text of it can be found on ancestry.com. Simply do a search on George M. Lentner and go to the Message Board section.
