Seth Fairchild appeared on the 1850 Wapello Co, IA census with his wife Ellen and several children. He was B-1791 Connecticut and died 22 June 1864 in Kirkville. He was a blacksmith by trade. Is there an obituary somewhere that is not posted in the Obit section of this board? Is there anyone out there who comes from this family? If so, I would be most anxious to have contact with you. Seth is my g-g-g-grandfather. I come thru his son by his 1st marriage, Ira Allison Fairchild father of Mary Olive Fairchild, mother of Sharron Tyndall DuBois, father of Mary Kathryn DuBois, me.
