Wonderful information. Thanks so very much.

Re:
4. John J. Surbaugh was born May 1860 near Eddyville. He married Callie
Warren on 10 Apr 1886. He is last found living near Vigo, Indiana.

My information was that this child of George W. and Irene Nosler Surbaugh,
the son John, was named JOHN SHOBER SURBAUGH

This interested me because supposedly the mother of George W. Surbaugh was
supposedly a Suzanna Elizabeth SHOBER, whom I have not yet identified.

Where did you find him as "John J. Surbaugh"?

Re:
. Jennie May Surbaugh was born 28 May 1864 near Eddyville and died on 26
Feb 1951 in San Diego, California. She married Sherman Buck. I find no
married. At one time they lived in Omaha, Nebraska, so may have been
married there.

Interesting!
This is my sister-in-law's line. She was born Barbara Leah Hatch, daughter
of Edwin Neal Dow Hatch and Mary Irene Buck. Mary Irene Buck was the
daughter of Sherman Oren Buck and Jennie May Surbaugh. Mary Irene Buck was
born in 1887 in Hebron, Nebraska.

Re:
I believe that Irene died sometime between 1900 and 1910 and is probably
also buried in Highland Cemetery. She was born Jan 1834 in Indiana.

I have her date of death as 2 November 1909 in California. On Rootsweb it is
given as 11 November 1909.

Re:

Based on the information I can find, I believe that George had a brother,
Adam Hiram Surbaugh, born 16 Feb 1829 in Virginia and died on 7 Feb 1923.

I didn't have the middle name of Hiram, but I did have Adam Surbaugh. He
and his wife also had a daughter named Jennie Surbaugh,
which makes me think that Jennie might be a Surbaugh family name.

Again my thanks for your help,

Sharilyn Whitaker
