Arthur Thrasher

OTTUMWA - Arthur "Butch " Dale Thrasher, 15 of 328 S.Ward St., died at 8:45 p.m. Oct. 11, 2004, from injuries sustained in an auto accident at the corner of Woodland Ave. and Highway 63.
He was born Feb. 24, 1989 in Galesburg, Ill. to Steven David Rupe and Katrina Thrasher.
A sophmore at Ottumwa High School, he was a member of the Troubadours Vocal Music Choir. Surviving is a special friend, Della Roberts of Ottumwa: his mother, Katrina Rupe of Ottumwa: his father, Steven Rupe (Jean)of Ottumwa: four sisters, Tabitha and Becky Rupe both at home, Sara Griffiths of Grand Island, Neb. and Shannon Rupe of Des Moines; grandparents, Dale and Deloris DeKraai of Ottumwa and Patricia Rupe of Ottumwa: great-grandfather Amos Thrasher of Ottumwa: seven aunts, Debbie Miller, Denise DeKraai, Debra Peek-Conder, Deanna DeKraai, Kelly Jernigan, Jeri Rupe and Nina Stocker; and five uncles, Wayne Rupe, Jody Rupe, Dennis DeKraai, Bill Rupe and Jason Rupe.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Basil Rupe and two uncles, Donald DeKraai and Rick Rupe.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Hendred officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the family present from 5-8 p.m. Active pallbearers will be cousins, Jeremy Bendy, Lucas Clark, Richard McClure and David Robinson.
Memorials may be made to the family.
