Life of Fred Miller, he was stricken while hastening to catch a train home from Oskaloosa. The body was discovered by a boy, an officer was soon at the place, an ambulance was called, and the body removed to the morgue. Fred was the son of Clay and Angeline Miller, born 5 miles north of town, in Harrison township, Mahaska county, on October 8, 1860. February 1884, he was married to Miss Florence L Crosson, who with his aged mother, one sister Mary J., wife of Chas Ellison, are left to mourn his sudden death. The subject however, was a man of great energy, and had proven himself to be a man of high integrity. he passed away December 6, 1910, aged 50 years, 1 month, 28 days. -List of attendees, and an In Memoriam from the Ladies M E Aid Society, previous column.
