MYRTLE BIVENS
Mrs. Myrtle L. Bivens, 62, of 600 Summitt, was dead on arrival at Ottumwa Hospital at 4:10 a.m. Sunday.

She was born July 15, 1914, at Eldon to John and Isabel Howard Huffstutter and had lived in Ottumwa most of her life.

She married Jesse Bivens in January 1930 in Ottumwa. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Thomas of Ottumwa; one daughter, Betty Brown of near Bloomfield; four grandchildren; one brother, Virgil Vogle of Davenport; and three sisters, Katherine MacBeth of Des Moines, Jessie Keller of Ottumwa and Maxine Dent of Davenport.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Evelyn Pilcher of the Valley Faith Mission Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Cecil and Henry Keller, Matthew and Oswald Essary, Steven Lowe and Darrell Bartlett.
