Miss Laura Dimmitt, 88, died April 24, in Portland Oregon. She was born January 1856, in Wapello county, the daughter of Beniah and Elizabeth Dimmitt, and is survived by two brothers, Tolbert Dimmitt of Portland, Oregon, and Sam Dimmitt of Laramie, Wyoming, and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Lester Jay funeral home, in charge of the Rev. John R. Estes, Burial will be in the Round Point cemetery.
