Mrs. Sarah Ann McDermott, 80, died Friday at 6:10 a.m. at her home on Melrose route 2. Mrs. McDermott was born in Keokuk in 1864, and was a former resident of Ottumwa, leaving here about 30 years ago. She made her home with her nephew, Dominic McDermott, who survives her as well as other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Vaughan funeral home and at 9 a.m. a requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rev. J.H. Courtney at the Sacred Heart church. Burial will be made in Calvary cemetery. Members of the Sacred Heart parish will meet at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to recite the rosary.
