Paul B. Keever, 51, died at his home, 330 Summitt street, at 2:15 p.m. Saturday. The son of Joseph and Nina Keever, he was born in Prescott, Iowa, May 19, 1892. He had been a resident to Ottumwa for the past 12 years, much of that time being an employee of the John Morrell & Co. He was a member of the Benton Street Presbyterian church and was a veteran of World war I. He was inducted into the armed forces July 28, 1918 at Corning, Iowa and a private in the engineer corps. He last was assigned to Co. C. of the 211th engineers and was stationed at Camp Meade, Maryland. He was discharged from the service at Camp Dodge, Iowa, February 6, 1919. Surviving are his wife, Hildred, two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Krafka, Ottumwa, and Twila Keever at home, one son Donald Keever at home and one grandson Jerry Lee Krafka. Also surviving are his stepmother, Mrs. Anna Keever of Atlantic, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Donna Grundman and Mrs. Lillian Grundman, both of Prescott, Iowa; a half-sister, Mrs. Ella Brown Prescott, and two half-brothers, Ralph Keever of Atlantic and Orrin Keever of Prescott. Funeral services will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel at 4 p.m. Wednesday in charge of the Rev. Charles R. Lawrence pastor of the Benton Street Presbyterian church and the Rev. L.E. Welshons, pastor of the Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery with military services at the grave. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Glover, Durward Kerby, Dwight Frost, Harold Ware, Robert Styre and Paul Payne.
