Mrs. Zida Vetera Whitsel, 46, of 721 Ellis avenue, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at the home of her aunt, Mrs. J.W. Mountain, 909 Clinton avenue. She was the daughter of Albert and Zella Mullen and was born in Ottumwa April 11, 1898. She lived here practically all of her life. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Zella Mullen, Ottumwa, a brother Zazel F. Mullen, Muskogee, Oklahoma, a sister Mrs. Maye Johnson, Gulfport, Mississippi, and three nieces and a nephew. Funeral services will be at 10:30 Wednesday at the Johnson funeral chapel conducted by the Ervin Waters and Carl Nelson. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
