Henry Bower, 67, died at his home on Floris route 2, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The son of Daniel and Sarah Ann Bower, he was born January 7, 1876, on the same farm in Keokuk township where he resided throughout his life. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; four sons, Raymond, Frank and Charley all of Ottumwa, and Jonathan of Floris route 2, and four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Rupe, Helen Bower and Mary Bower, all of Floris route 2, and Mrs. Francis Bryan of Ottumwa. Twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel, in charge of the Rev. L.E. Welshons, pastor of the First Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be in the Ormanville cemetery.
