Mrs. Elmon Stem, 54, of Richland, died at 9 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Hibler, northeast of Fremont. She was the daughter of Samuel and Emma Swanstrom and was born June 5, 1889 at Excelsior. Survivors include her husband, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mable Stem her mother-in-law, Mrs. Katie Storm of Fremont; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Egerstrom and Mrs. Edward Schwartz, both of Hedrick, and two brothers, Aben and John Swanstrom both of Hedrick. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist church in Fremont, conducted by the Rev. Hugh E. Williams of Richland, assisted by the Rev. J.W. Zerbe of Fremont. Burial will be in Cedar Township cemetery. The body is at the Community funeral parlors.
