Mrs. Jennie McCormick, 82, died at 2:30 a.m. today at the home of her son, James McCormick, 110 Mer Rogue avenue, after several months’ illness. She was born November 24, 1861, in Baltimore. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. McCormick. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Shade of St. Louis, Missouri, and Mrs. Amanda Sapp of Centerville; two sons, William of Burlington and James C. of Ottumwa, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Traul funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. E.L. Simbro. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Lancaster, Missouri. The McCormick’s had lived at Lancaster many years and later lived on a farm northeast of Ottumwa about 20 years.
