Mrs. Charlotte Edna Hardesty, 62, wife of T.J. Hardesty, died at her home at Kirkville at 11 a.m. today and her body was brought here to the Community funeral home to await funeral arrangements. She was the daughter of Oscar and Mary Thompson and was born in Kirkville, September 4, 1881. Surviving are her husband and three children, Ray Hardesty, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mrs. Mary McFarland, Newcastle, Indiana, and Mrs. Elfa Middleton of Ottumwa. Six grandchildren, one great grandson and four sisters also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. T.W. Hardesty will be held at the Methodist church in Kirkville at 2 p.m. Wednesday in charge of the Rev. Lloyd C. Snyder of the Wilson Presbyterian church assisted by the Rev. C.B. Dewey of the Methodist church at Kirkville. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Auld, W.H. Bohlman, Ernest Proud, James Deitch, Charles Deitch and Jess Shawver. Burial will be at Westview cemetery, Kirkville. The body will be removed from the Community funeral parlors at Ottumwa at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
