Mrs. Anna Jordan, widow of Joseph Jordan former Ottumwan, died Thursday in Rock Island, Illinois. She was born in Hannibal, Missouri, and lived in Ottumwa until the death of her husband in 1936. While she was a resident here, she was a member of the Mt. Zion A.M.E. church and was also the organist there. She was a past matron of Electa chapter No. 4, Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by one daughter Mrs. Florence Robbins of Rock Island, and two sons, Dr. Fox of Hannibal, Missouri and the Rev. Mr. Fox of Kansas City. The body will arrive in Ottumwa tonight and funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home, in charge of the Rev. H.J. Parker of Mt. Zion A.M.E. church assisted by the Rev. William M. Shaw of the Second Baptist church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
