Mrs. Margaret J. Barnes, 68, resident of Ottumwa for 40 years died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday. Her home was at 913 East Main street. She was the daughter of James and Margaret Jane Lonsdale and was born at Rockford, Illinois, August 12, 1874. Survivors include a son, W.F. Barnes, Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs. Perry Russell of Moulton and Mrs. Harry Dawson of Omaha, three grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded n death by her husband, John Barnes, in 1933 and son George in 1940. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson funeral chapel conducted by A.O. Smith. Burial will be in Drakesville cemetery.
