Clarence E. McCready, died at his home 616 North Green street, at 2:45 a.m. today. He was a retired employee of the Burlington railroad and a member of the Burlington Veteran’s association. Mr. McCready was born January 24, 1880 at Farmington, being the son of Charles and Julia McCready. Surviving are his wife, Harriett and one sister, Mrs. Cecile Sapp of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. Herbert A. Keck D.D. pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial will be made in the Ottumwa cemetery.
