David Lewis Franks, 68, died at 10 a.m. Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.J. Whitney, 607 Summit street. He was born December 31, 1873 in Linn county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Franks, and had made his home in Ottumwa for the past 13 years. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Whitney, and by seven grandchildren. The body is at the Carroll Reece funeral home pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Lewis Franks, who died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.J. Whitney, 607 Summit street, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Carroll Reece funeral home. The Rev. A.D. McClure pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God will be in charge. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Franks’ grandchildren will act as pallbearers.
