Clyde Emerson Legg, 63, died suddenly at 1:15 a.m. today at his home 617 May street. He was born July 1, 1879, in Filmore county, Nebraska, the son of John and Julia Legg. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 20 years, during which time he had been employed by John Morrell & Co. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Arvilla Legg, a son, Glen Legg of San Diego, California, one daughter, Mrs. Walter Steva of Council Bluffs and by one grandson. Ronald Legg of San Diego. The body is at the Johnson funeral home where it will remain pending the completion of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for Clyde Emerson Legg, who died early Tuesday at his home at 617 May street, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday from the Johnson funeral chapel. The services will be in charge of the Rev. A.D. McClure and burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
