Mrs. Sarah Gingles, 68, wife of Delosa T. Gingles, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Clark, 2250 Samantha street. Mrs. Gingles home was at 742 West Mechanic street. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sistern and was born at Clay, Iowa, December 5, 1874. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, J.L. Martin, Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs. Clark, Ottumwa and Mrs. Earl Van Dyke, Washington, Iowa; a stepson, D.H. Martin, Cortez, Colorado, 11 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers, John Sistern, Richland and Jim Sistern, Brighton. The body is at Johnson’s funeral chapel awaiting completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Gingles, wife of Delosa T. Gingles who died Thursday, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Martin Leith of the North Side Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Hillcrest cemetery at Brighton.
