David G. Wilson, 68, died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday at his home, 1303 Center avenue, He was born July 1, 1874, in Ottumwa, the son of the Rev. Henry B. and Elizabeth Wilson, and spent his entire life in Ottumwa. He is survived by five sons and three daughters, Mrs. Leora Davis, Josephine Wilson, LaVern Wilson, Theodore Wilson, Wallace Wilson, all of Ottumwa, Henry Wilson and Leon Wilson both of Minneapolis and Sergeant Emmett E. Wilson in the Army. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Laura Langford of St. Joseph, Missouri and by one brother, Charles Wilson of Ottumwa and by 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two daughters and one son. He was a member of the Mt. Zion A.M.E. church and of the Knights of Pythias lodge No. 1. The body is at the Lester Jay funeral home pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for David G. Wilson, who died Tuesday at his home 1303 Center avenue, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday from the Mt. Zion A.M.E. church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Henry J. Parker. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
