Richard Vern McCune, 16-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Vern E. McCune, of 114 South Iowa avenue, died at the home at 7 p.m. Thursday. Besides the parents he is survived by two brothers, John and Pat; three sisters, Jane, Mary Beth and Connie, and his grandparents. Mrs N.P. Herrington and Mrs. Margaret McCune, both of Ottumwa. Short funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson funeral chapel and at 3 p.m. at the East End Presbyterian church, conducted by the Rev. George T. Hubbard, pastor. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chester Sedore, J.D. Francis, James Dempster and John Riley.
