Mrs. Mary D. Hall, 79, resident of Lost Nation who came here 17 days ago to spend the winter with her daughter, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at Ottumwa hospital. She was the daughter of John and Dorothy Streiff and was born in Monroe, Wisconsin June 1, 1863. She was visiting with her daughter. Mrs. R.J. Coker, 1315 Mowery avenue at the time of her death. She had lived in Lost Nation for the past 43 years, was a member of the Methodist church, the Gardner chapter, No. 37, O.E.S. and the past matron of the Eastern Star. Besides Mrs. Coker, she is survived by her husband, Luther M. Hall, Lost Nation, a daughter Mrs. Charles Summers, Gallup N. M. as son Floyd F. Hall, Savanna, Illinois, and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church, Lost Nation at 1 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Lost Nation cemetery. The body will be kept at the Johnson funeral chapel until 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
