David Fitzgerald 58, died at his home 508 South Mill street, about 2:15 a.m. today. The man fell from his bed, Herbert Orr, who lives in the same house said he investigated and found Fitzgerald dead. Survivors include three brothers, Roy and Edward Fitzgerald both of Des Moines, and one in the Veterans' hospital at Knoxville; a sister in Des Moines. Funeral services for David Moris Fitzgerald, 58, who died early Wednesday at his home 508 South Mill street will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Traul funeral chapel, the Rev. Harold Roberts in charge. Burial will be in Money's cemetery south of Eldon with members of the miners union serving as pallbearers. Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and has been employed at the Sullivan mine. He was born July 4, 1884 the son of Jasper and Martha Fitzgerald. Surviving are two sisters, Mary Amanda Bowman and Ada Cleo Whitmore of Des Moines; and three brothers, Joseph Edgar and Clarence Leroy of Des Moines and Jasper Carl of Knoxville. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
