Mrs. Kate Lunkley, wife of John Lunkley, 319 West fourth street died at 5 a.m. Wednesday at a Minneapolis, Minnesota hospital. Mrs. Lunkley had gone to the home of her son, Elmo at Minneapolis to spend the Christmas holidays and became ill while there. She was born in Oskaloosa the daughter of Henry and Catherine Niel Kretzer. Surviving are her husband, her son, Elmo, two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Clara Orman of Homestead, Pennsylvania. The body arrived in Ottumwa today and was taken to the Lester Jay funeral home where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in charge of the Rev. John Blough, pastor of the First Congregational church. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
