Death Calls Aged Man On Roadside
Joe Stout, 73, who made his home with the Ernest Anderson family on the Cliffland road was found dead along the roadside near the farm home Saturday night. Coroner Gordon Traul said death was due to natural causes. Mr. Stout had been suffering a serious illness for many months, and was thought to have collapsed while walking. Friends said his wife preceded him in death in 1932 and that there are no known relatives. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Carroll Reece funeral home in charge of the Rev. J.B. Johnson. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
