William Parker, 60, of 532 Burrhus street, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at his home. He was the son of Charles and Martha Parker, Born near, Bladensburg November 3, 1881. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for 28 years. He was a former employee of the Iowa Steam laundry and of the Ottumwa laundry. He had retired a year ago. Surviving are his wife, Nannie; a sister, Mrs. Olive McCreery of Des Moines; a brother, A.V. Parker, of Vienna, Virginia, and a stepbrother J.C. Githens of Albia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure of the Pentecostal Church of God. Burial will be in the Agency cemetery. Pallbearers will be T.O. Howk, William Beal, Virgil Moore, Oscar Garner, Paul Jackson and Ross Jones.
