Mrs. Mary Waddington, 52, wife of George Waddington, died at her home on the Blackhawk road, Ottumwa route 4, at 5:22 p.m. Friday.
The daughter of R.G.W. and Blanca C. Forsythe, she was born in Mahaska county September 4, 1889. She was a resident of Kirkville practically all her life, and had lived in Ottumwa for only the past three weeks. Her husband survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Van DePol of Ottumwa, two nephews Raymond Forsythe of Ottumwa and Dale Forsythe of Lawrence, Kansas and one grand nephew. Two brothers, Dr. Charles and Dr. Manley Forsythe, both of Fremont preceded her in death. Short services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. from the residence at 2 p.m. from the Kirkville Methodist church, with the Rev. Lawrence Hight and Mrs. Hight of Chillicothe in charge. Burial will be in the Kirkville cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harry Reed, Oscar Schmitz, Wilmer Pelhagh,(sp) Harry, Ralph and Harold Van DePol.
