Henry Burgess Dies On Route 4
Henry Burgess 78, died at his home on Ottumwa route 4, at 11 p.m. Sunday. He was born July 3, 1863, in Henry county. He had been a resident of Wapello county for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Ollie and sister, Mrs. Martha Sammons of Mr. Pleasant, a brother George Burgess of Davenport and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Johnson funeral chapel with the Rev. A.D. McClure in charge. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The casket will be taken to the home this afternoon.
