John Mulaney Dies At 90; Farm Veteran.
John Mulaney,90, one of the county's oldest resident, died at the Ottumwa hospital at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was a retired farmer, and had been ill for some time. He was born February 23, 1851. He lived on a farm near Highland Center for many years, later lived near Agency. In earlier life he had taught school at Butler, in Keokuk county. Mr. Mulaney was part noble grand and past secretary of Rathburn lodge No. 278, I.O.O.F. at Highland Center. His wife preceded him in death many years ago. There were no children. He is survived by a brother, E.E. Mulaney of Hill City, Kansas and a sister in Colorado Springs. Funeral services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the Community Funeral chapel in Ottumwa. Burial will be in McCormick cemetery at Highland. The I.O.O.F. will have charge of the services.
