60-Year Resident Of Agency Is Dead
Mrs. Lizzie H. Dunbar Shearer, 84, the wife of Cyrus Howard Shearer, died at her home in Agency at 4:50 p.m. Sunday. She had made her home in Agency for the past 60 years. She was the daughter of John and Lucy Dunbar, born at Flemingsburg, Kentucky, July 7, 1867. She married Cyrus Howard Shearer January 13, 1887 at Agency. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Hugh Morrison, Agency; three grandchildren, George Rutz of Ottumwa., Elva Rutz of Agency, and Francis Rutz of Rockford, Illinois; a great granddaughter, Barbara Jean Rutz of Rockford; a brother, George Dunbar of Denver, and a sister Mrs. Kate Dixon of Mystic. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3:30 from the home in Agency. the Rev. M. Wyatt will be in charge. Burial will be in the Agency cemetery. The casket will be taken to the residence from the Johnson funeral chapel at noon Tuesday.
